Katlyn is a senior at Regency Academy, and has been a member of the art club since her freshman year. She's a very upbeat, friendly leader who welcomes anyone with an interest in art, regardless of their skill level. She hopes to attend art school when she is finished at Regency.
The art club is just like it sounds: a collection of students interested in the arts. There are occasional lessons, but for the most part the students can come and go as they please. All mediums are accepted, even digital art, so there's no discriminating. They meet every afternoon in the art classroom for two hours, but more often than not there are students there until much later.
The club meets after school, and the club fee supplies all of the materials. There are canvases, paints, pastels, charcoal, pencils, and all manner of traditional art tools. There is also a row of computers in the back for those students inclined to digital art or rendering. Occasionally there will be speakers from the local arts university, but it's generally just a group of students working on their own art pieces.
The club meets in one of the art classrooms used by Joel Young, with his permission. It is a large, square room with desks pushed around the edges. The center is open, spotted with easels and stools to sit on. There is a section in the back for blank canvases and paper supplies. It has just about anything the students will need.
