Friends
To be completely honest, Fabien is a sweet kid. He's very considerate and is always thinking of a way to make people happy and like him. But, he's incredibly shy and introverted. He'll never be the person to first approach someone, and will hardly seem to warm up to them in the first few meetings. Oh, and he's awkward. And believes everything people say. And is very insecure...and the list goes on...
I think Fabe would most likely be friends with people who have the same interests as he does, or are very quiet as well. Nobody too loud, or too...frightening. But, a person like that (loud), who is nice and outgoing would be good for him. They can be an influence on Fabe in a way, and help him become more sociable.
Enemies
It's more difficult to become Fabien's enemy than his friend. Perhaps he can annoy some people with his personality? Or Fabien can be the one to find them troublesome and avoid them at all costs, although he would have very few reasons for that.
I do know, though, that he can not tolerate bullies. He won't outright express his dislike for them, but won't be too kind to them either (because if he tries to act menacing he'll be as terrifying as a kitten)

Romance
I can actually see Fabe having an innocent crush on someone, but being really scared to talk to them and always fumbling and messing up around that person. Or someone else can have a crush on him(wouldn't that be something). He can go either way, male or female, since interacting with others around his age is completely foreign to him. He's bound to explore...eventually. You must be his friend or be familiar with him first, though. He won't spot someone and fall in love immediately. No, Fabien would only look into a person's character, their appearance is just a bonus.
