Lindsey's parents were set on having a girl. As two doctors you'd think they'd know better than to make these decisions before the sex of their baby developed, but for some god forsaken reason they'd become dead set on the name Lindsey so even when they found out they were actually having a boy... they went through with the name anyways. Lindsey has secretly resented them for this for just about as long as people have been laughing at it when they first find out.

That aside though, Lindsey has had everything in life planned out. He made good grades, was raised with proper etiquette and politeness drilled into him, and he was to follow his parents' footsteps in entering the medical field. Maybe it was his genes or maybe he was just lucky, but these expectations of him weren't exactly out of his reach. He never strove to meet his parents' goals, he accomplished them just fine. Lindsey's life has been stable and smooth sailing, and overall, terribly boring. There's nothing he finds himself wanting to do, there's nothing to look forward to, nothing nothing nothing. But at the same time it wasn't as if he wanted to wreck himself. To strike a perfect balance between properness and rebelliousness, that was what he came into Regency seeking to accomplish as it's allegedly his "last step towards doctorhood".

Which puts him in his senior year: antagonizing people for the lols when it's convenient, and relishing in the control and influence he's earned as one of the "big kids" in school.


Lindsey doesn't actually talk properly and a bit stiffly because he wants to, it's a lot more like a conditioned habit his parents forced him into. Really, he thinks it's weird too, but he'll pretend it's on purpose for the sake of saving face.

He also pretends he doesn't mind his name, although he'll very strongly insist people not make a big deal out of it. Very strongly insist.

His parents don't actually know he's a homosexual so he finds it refreshing to be completely open about his sexuality on campus. Translation: if him being gay makes anyone uncomfortable you can bet your ass he's exploiting that. (no pun intended)

Also he does have a general distaste for people who put on fronts and acts, as despite how he may seem Lindsey usually does act genuinely and speaks from his chilly, arrogant heart.
