· hiro was born to an italian father and a japanese mother.
· born in america, but moved to japan after he turned three years old.
· was slightly teased because of his white hair and his love for jellyfish.
· when he was seven, his younger sister was born.

· hiro decided to go back to america by becoming an exchange student at regency academy, which he was accepted into the program.
