ᴅᴀʏ 1 | 9:00ᴘᴍ | ᴄʟᴏᴜᴅʏ sᴋɪᴇs “What the f*** is your problem!?” the male instantly snapped back at him and reached up to try and yank himself from his hold. But Joshua merely pressed him harder into the wall. This kid would learn to never bother him again.
“What are you doing?!”
Joshua’s gaze jerked towards his roommate who had opened the door and witnessed his destructive nature. But he didn’t care. His roommate needed to learn just like all the rest that he was to be left alone. Joshua’s cold expression never left his features as he ignored his roommate, drew the student from the wall and forcefully shoved him towards his friends.
“F***ing psycho!” the other student instantly returned as he reached up and adjusted the collar of his shirt. But his insult held no power over Joshua who merely turned towards his roommate. He reached out to grasp onto the side of the door and purposely stepped forward to make his way into the room.

INTO THE NOTHING LEAVE ME AT THE BOTTOM WHERE THERE'S NOTHING LEFT Their gazes locked and Brendon had absolutely no control over the emotions running wild inside of him. The anger was so powerful and took over making him physically shake as it swelled and consumed everything. His roommate ignored him to instead turn his attention back to the other and shove him toward the small gathering of other students in the background.
Brendon’s chest lightly heaved as he took in one shallow breath after another. His amber gaze snapped back to his roommate as he began advancing on him, gripping the edge of the door and shoving it open as he attempted to crowd him back into the dorm room so he could enter.
His heart thundered within his chest and in a moment of recklessness merely born from the desire to disobey, Brendon tried to push the door further open in order to add room for his roommate to pass but not be shoved back into the room with him.

ᴅᴀʏ 1 | 9:00ᴘᴍ | ᴄʟᴏᴜᴅʏ sᴋɪᴇs Joshua’s gaze locked onto his roommate’s and he could clearly see the boy’s anger visibly affecting his body. It wasn’t the reaction he expected…but deep down he also realized…that it wasn’t the reaction he wanted. His hold upon the door tightened as he felt his roommate trying to force it open further. Joshua’s expression darkened as he stared down at him and felt challenged by his attempt to fight his grip on the door.
“Move,” he told him firmly as his hold remained unyeilding. He would step inside how he wanted and would close the door as he saw fit.

INTO THE NOTHING LEAVE ME AT THE BOTTOM WHERE THERE'S NOTHING LEFT His roommate refused to allow him to open the door any further and in fact tightened his hold as he continued to step forward and crowd him back into the room. Brendon’s heart continued to pound and the anger that had been consuming him faltered somewhat. His expression hardened and he turned around to walk away and back into their dorm. The hallway of their room was cool but moist and his shampoo product’s scent still clung to the air.
The emotions exploding within his form were suffocating, clamping mercilessly down around his heart. He was still trembling as his anger remained a driving force inside of him. He couldn’t rest, he couldn’t stand still as he walked into the bedroom area and then turned to head back. He was so angry. In a split-second and impulsive decision he reached forward to grasp his own set of dorm keys and started back toward the door. His heart still pounded ferociously within his chest but the drive to not be controlled fueled him and made him impulsively irrational.

ᴅᴀʏ 1 | 9:00ᴘᴍ | ᴄʟᴏᴜᴅʏ sᴋɪᴇs Joshua could see the stubbornness burning behind his roommates amber gaze and it stirred his emotions further. But the boy caved as he released his hold on the door and stormed back into the room. Joshua’s expression remained unaffected as he closed the door roughly and made his way forward…intending on having a shower. But his plans were abruptly changed when he heard the sound of his roommate’s keys.
In no way was it his place to stop him, but his instinct mixed with his emotions took hold of him. Joshua’s large form stepped before the door frame and blocked the boy’s exit. He reached for his wrist and raised the hand that withheld the keys. The anger that had ignited within his chest continued to burn fiercely, but the sensation was mixing with another. His fingers gripped him harder, but only to further feel the soft texture of his skin.
His mouth opened to speak…but no words came. He was angry and being forceful with someone he had only met a few minutes ago. None of this was normal, but he was simply too irrational in this moment to care.

INTO THE NOTHING LEAVE ME AT THE BOTTOM WHERE THERE'S NOTHING LEFT He was stopped again. Brendon’s heart seized up within his chest and the strain shot through him in the form of mild pain. Within an instant the beating of his heart burst to life once more as his roommate stepped directly into his path and roughly grasped onto his wrist. He… He couldn’t believe this guy. What was even happening? What was going on? His narrowed amber gaze lifted to his roommate’s piercing green eyes and again… he was struck by the intensity held within them. His expression was so fierce and so focused down upon him. He could feel his grip tightening—and the sensation caused his heart to take off. It caused other emotions to mix with his anger, to submerge him in things that confused him.
No. No more emotions.
Nothing. He wanted nothing. He wanted to be consumed in it. He didn’t need any of this. He didn’t want any of this.
Yet, his heart continued to fiercely pound while he clamped down over everything taking hold inside of him. He swallowed everything into the black abyss that was his soul. Nothing. He wanted to feel nothing. Indifferent. Callous.
His breathing was still somewhat hoarse as he continued to watch his roommate with a piercing gaze of his own. He began to calm down as the whirlwind of chaos finally was swallowed whole and locked away deep within the recess of his sub-conscious.

ᴅᴀʏ 1 | 9:00ᴘᴍ | ᴄʟᴏᴜᴅʏ sᴋɪᴇs He didn’t want to let him go…but instead of asking him to stay politely…he just forced him to. But that was his way of dealing with things. He was no gentlemen and certainly lacked any manners. Joshua expected some form of retaliation… He was instead met with obedience. His own breathing was slightly irregular as he remained before him...holding his arm captive. He didn’t communicate well with others…and that left him speechless once more. Asking him to stay politely felt…weak and he stubbornly refused to do so.
Unknown to him…was the fact that his anger was slowly subsiding. But it was being replaced with the desire to…
Joshua’s expression hardened slightly as he silenced his thoughts. He knew what he was feeling…but refused to acknowledge it mentally. His hold carefully began to loosen until he had released him entirely. But despite his mood changing…his tone was still aggressive.
“Stay.”

INTO THE NOTHING LEAVE ME AT THE BOTTOM WHERE THERE'S NOTHING LEFT The tight grip around his wrist loosened until his roommate released his arm entirely. Brendon’s hard gaze remained on the male for a brief moment before flickering down toward his arm. He grasped onto his wrist with his other hand and rubbed the tender area. Despite his best efforts to eradicate all feeling and emotion inside of him, new and persistent ones came to the surface as he reacted to everything happening before him. He ignored the sensations within his body. He ignored them and pretended as though they didn’t exist.
“Stay,” His roommate commanded and his tone and word instantly ignited a fresh surge of anger within his smaller form.
This situation was… strange and certainly not ideal. It was also incredibly confusing and enrage-inducing. But, in the moment, as he stood there before this guy he felt at a loss of what to do or where to go. And, instead, the most predominant thing that came to his mind was the question he decided to ask:
“What is your name?” He demanded in return, lifting his gaze to his roommate’s once more.

ᴅᴀʏ 1 | 9:00ᴘᴍ | ᴄʟᴏᴜᴅʏ sᴋɪᴇs Joshua watched as his command brought tension between them once more. He could see the tension ignite within his roommate and once again he braced himself for retaliation. But instead…he was met with a question and a peculiar one at that. His expression narrowed as his roommate looked to him and sternly demanded to know his name.
Of all the things he could have said or asked…his name was the most pressing question? However, he knew it wasn’t that simple and immediately assumed that his roommate simply wanted his name to report him. Joshua wasn’t fearful of such things because he already knew how reluctant the main office was to switch roommates around. He would know considering how many times he reported his old one.
“Joshua Christopher Ardel,” he replied boldly with no fear of giving him all the information he would need.

INTO THE NOTHING LEAVE ME AT THE BOTTOM WHERE THERE'S NOTHING LEFT Joshua Christopher Ardel.
The sensation that came alive within Brendon’s body caused the fifteen year old’s expression to falter. As the words and the voice registered inside of him it had immediately caused an unexplained reaction: his pupils dilated while his senses became inexplicably enhanced. His heart jolted to life within his chest—and the combination of so many things at once instantly caused Brendon to reject them all.
The freshmen visibly tore his gaze away from the other and recoiled back a step as though he had been physically assaulted. In denial and silent panic, neither did he hesitate to walk away from his roommate in an attempt to distance himself from him.

ᴅᴀʏ 1 | 9:00ᴘᴍ | ᴄʟᴏᴜᴅʏ sᴋɪᴇs Joshua’s own composure faltered as he witnessed the way his roommate’s stern expression crumbled. He acted as though the name was familiar to him…and his response instantly made Joshua desire the boy’s identity as well. His chest tightened with need just as his roommate recoiled from him.
“Give me your name,” he told him deeply as he stepped forward to prevent any distance between them from being obtained. When his roommate tried to turn from him Joshua instantly gripped his shoulders to forcefully keep his attention.

INTO THE NOTHING LEAVE ME AT THE BOTTOM WHERE THERE'S NOTHING LEFT H-He should have expected the other male to step in front of him and block his way—but he had become desperate in his need to retreat. He didn’t understand what those feelings had been or what they had meant—and they had scared the hell out of him.
“Give me your name,” The other demanded and Brendon felt so beside himself with paranoia that he was actually afraid to speak his name out loud. The beat of his heart intensified and in his hysteria he didn’t hesitate to try and get away.
O-Of course his roommate stopped him. Of course he grabbed onto him and held him forcefully in place. He refused to let him leave. He demanded everything. And his name had nearly sent him into a full blown heart attack.
“N-No,” He returned and his voice shook just enough for it to be heard within his tone. He was being irrational. H-He was being irrational. He didn’t feel anything—hadn’t felt anything. He wasn’t going to…
W-What was going on? He wanted out of here. He wanted another roommate. He needed to go. He needed to run away. His stomach dropped and tightened into a knot at its center, and he began to feel nauseated. His breathing intensified as he began to delve right into a fit of hysteria and a panic attack.

ᴅᴀʏ 1 | 9:00ᴘᴍ | ᴄʟᴏᴜᴅʏ sᴋɪᴇs “N-No,” the boy returned brokenly and his rejection caused Joshua’s grasp onto him to tighten almost unpleasantly. But underneath the thin material of his top Joshua could feel the heat radiating from his body. He could see the irregular pattern of his breathing and the way his expression remained twisted with both panic and confusion.
Why had his name triggered such an extreme reaction from him? Did he know him from somewhere…was there something he was missing? These questions brought him frustration and he could offer no words of condolence for his distraught roommate. There was…concern within his chest…but he couldn’t properly express that to the chocolate brown haired boy.
His emerald gaze hardened as he released his shoulder and lifted his hand to intimately touch his forehead.

INTO THE NOTHING LEAVE ME AT THE BOTTOM WHERE THERE'S NOTHING LEFT Run away, the words weighed him down. They raced through his mind, through his conscious, repeating again and again—higher and higher. Run. Run! The pounding of his heart left him short of breath and it also heated his body, set it on fire. No. He didn’t want to be here. He wanted to run away—needed to run away. He had to escape. He was freaking out. He was panicking and had mentally jumped off the side of the cliff, spiraling downward and out of control. He couldn’t go back. He couldn’t collect it all and tuck it away neatly.
He had no control.
“No!” He yelled much more forcefully and as his roommate pressed the back of his hand against his forehead. Brendon shoved at him with both of his arms and attempted to escape.

ᴅᴀʏ 1 | 9:00ᴘᴍ | ᴄʟᴏᴜᴅʏ sᴋɪᴇs His temperature was unbelievably high, but Joshua was only given brief contact before he was abruptly shoved at. His roommates cry was sharp and struck his heart. But inside his tone was panic and Joshua could see the alarm within his roommate. All of this…was because of his name…it was because of him. This boy knew him.
Joshua’s thoughts were quickly cut short when the young man tried to shove past him in order to escape the room. But Joshua gave him no opportunity to leave.
He wanted answers.
Joshua turned sharply as the boy tried to retreat. But his body was immediately caught by one of Joshua’s strong arms and quickly pulled back into his chest. He then pressed harder against him with his own masculine form as he grasped onto the keys and actually threw them away.
